Trick-a-Week 2026 - #2 Zerber by Spencer Berry

Yeah, I switched to a narrow one for this reason.

It may help to keep the triangle shorter+wider, so yoyo is further from your NTH and can hop thru the wider part of the triangle.

Red triangle makes it more difficult

Yo re: snagging in brother—the exercises in this video are an absolutely amazing way to work through not snagging. Applies to this trick but also just generally. Locking up the feel for letting the yoyo slide without snagging is so valuable imo and this progression teaches that really well. One of my favorite yoyo videos tbh.

I love this trick. One of my first more advanced tricks that I learned a few years back. I was so proud when I could finally land it.

Great job with week 1, y’all! Feel free to keep working on white buddha and post your progress/questions.

For week 2 we got a Spencer Berry repeater called Zerber! The only prerequisite for this trick is trapeze, so give it a try!

Don’t worry, we won’t only do tricks with a tutorial from Tsukasa :face_savoring_food:

I only decided today that I should try to keep up with TaW this year, I’m behind! Could have been cleaner…no time to waste! (White Buddha)

I feel like the movements give off an illusion of hitting a string, because I had to watch the tut quite a few times while messing around before realizing that the string you pull on is the one attached to the yoyo, and you aren’t supposed to be hitting any strings, the movements just make it look like it is. Bit of a mind trip, lol
