Week 11 rejection whip catch up:

Still working on protrusionsā€¦ so difficult.

Hard to get consistent with these rejections, I have a couple tips.

  1. Using your thumb on both rejections to initiate the rejection really helps with the pop that gets it to revolve around your hand.

  2. stronger throw to catch and pop the string.

  3. highwall organics (Iā€™m using a diorama)

  4. jade whip/ iron whip is a good practice for landing the string. Similar techniques for both, but different hand positions.

If Iā€™m not mistaken, the first video shows the pop up landing on the brother mount, while Kowalksiā€™s has it landing on a trapeze. Is one or the other considered more correct? IME so far itā€™s a bit easier to get the pop up closer to looking correct while aiming for the brother mount, but thatā€™s the part thatā€™s still roughest for me so Iā€™m not sure.

oh nice, thanks! Yeah, I was guessing it wouldnā€™t matter much, but I was curious. I love stuff like Doc Popā€™s history vids, so Iā€™m always wondering how tricks got started and evolved over time.

And Dylanā€™s way does make the repeater nicer, too.

Week 13

It was approximately 1 million percent humidity at the dock so that slide to the chopsticks-out kept snagging

Canā€™t quite figure out how to repeat it, the string keeps sliding down my fingers.
