I have to add that 2015 was the year of the titanium material-wise, but play-wise it was āfinger spinā year. One of the most frequent questions I get when I post a photo, is whether itās good for finger spins. That was HUGE last year, and I think that trend will continue. For those of you who make yo-yos, just make sure itās good for finger spins.
That IS one thing Iād like to see if the ever do a remake of the G2 Marvel, an easier to hit fingerspin cup, itās just a little too⦠Shallow, I think.
Yes, Iām serious. When Iām watching videos on social media, a lot of times they are just video clips of fingerspins. Iām not talking about professional players, Iām talking about the consumers who are buying their yo-yos. And, specifically, lately the complaint is that they do not want engraving in that finger spin zone. So, the comments have evolved not just into wanting a finger spin zone, but preferably with no engraving in it. The companies paying attention to consumers, are going to have to make some finger spin friendly throws in 2016. Iām not a finger spinner, but a lot of other people are.
And, you see the comment above, regarding the Marvel. When the yo-yo is good for finger spins, people are thinking about how it could be even better at finger spins. I mean, even pro players, are doing finger spins too, if theyāre promoting a new 2015-2016 release. And, itās a smart move. YoyoFactory is with the program. Look at 1:54. Dogma is good at fingerspins. More companies should answer that question right in the video, because trust me, it matters these days.
