the yo-yo or more practice?

get a unresponsive yoyo thats under your budget, and keep practicing!!!

but more importantly know that it won’t just come to you, you have to work for it, even with a great yoyo, if you don’t put in the work then you won’t get the results that you want.

and next thing you know, you ll be putting out videos on here for us to watch

yeap, no need to spoil your motivation with “extra difficult” yoyos

of course, learning on a responsive or a “bad” yoyo will make you better once you can play, but in the end, it doesn’t matter, the most important thing is that you learn while having fun, not being frustrated.

if you can handle your frustration, keep your yoyo or get one of these oldschool duncans, they work just a charm.

but modern beginner yoyos such as the YYF One will make it that much easier on you and allow you to have longer spin times and touch on more advanced tricks.

While the FHZ isn’t that bad of a choice for a beginner, you’ll still make your life easier with something more modern, unless you want to start modifying your FHZ.

Some also suggested metal yoyos, and that’s not that bad of an idea nowadays, most adult players tend to go to metal rather fast, it’s another feel, much like you’re “in with the big boys” kinda think.

anyway, it’s all up to you

if you can handle the challenge, keep your yoyo or get a FHZ (specially if you want to learn how to mod)
if you just wanna have fun and make things easy on you, get a One, a dark magic, or a metal

I wouldn’t go with the whip because it requires a good solid throw to spin fast enough so it remains stable, a beginner throw won’t cut it and it’ll end up tilting on you more often than not, I love this yoyo but you need to work on your throw to get the most of it.
