I also am skeptical given that it’s like a 7 or 8 year old design and the only change is gap width. But that didn’t stop me from ordering one.

Agreed. Also, I think at this point nothing can live up to the hype that’s going around.
My litmus is if there’s still hype a couple of months out. That’s well past the initial honeymoon and long enough for other new releases to get hyped over. If it’s still generating hype by then, there’s probably something to it.

If it’s noticeably better than the Draupnirs or Masamune it’ll live up to the hype for me 
Now why do you think he’s more objective than most? I have zero financial interest in this yoyo or the TiWalker. But for some reason you think @zslane is more objective? I don’t get that at all.

Many people on these forums care a lot about “feel” and “fun” and nostalgia etc.
I just think @zslane is a little more structured, technical, and less biased(btw I’m not saying you’re biased) in his opinions of yoyos.
Also his general preferences towards yoyos is more similar to mine than most here so that’s a big thing too. I don’t think you needed to take it personally
Also since it’s going to be a lot of people’s first Ti I think that can influence some opinions too cuz they feel so different

Oh I’m not taking it personally. The way you worded your post though makes me think I’d be included in the people you think are less objective. I feel you’re basing that on statements like “it’s the best yoyo I’ve ever played”. As I’ve said numerous times it’s not nostalgia, it’s just the best yoyo I’ve played. And I’m lucky enough to have played a lot.

Yeah wasn’t really directed towards you. Maybe a little more towards the 2 or 3 people that got theirs today and are saying it’s makinf them a better player
