I came back to revolutions today, and I was able to land it. I find it astonishing that some tricks come really slow at first, but come a little easier when I come back to them.
Yeah. I saw it in videos and have always been impressed with how – at the risk of sounding pretentious – elegant Lotus Bloom is when it’s done smoothly.
I was pretty stressed out after work over some stuff, and I just decided to sit down and really learn it (always meant to work it out when I thought I was “good enough”). It kinda got my mind off of my problems, and next thing I knew (two hours, that is) I was doing it pretty smoothly myself! Only problem is, I haven’t gotten the boing in there yet. I figure I’ll work it in once doing it becomes second nature.
Though I am concerned that not doing the boing will be a bad habit that will be hard to break.
Hang in there. The boing is probably the hardest part. It may just be me, but I have been doing the trick for about 2 months and I still cannot do it as smooth as Andrew. I filmed myself the other day and was like, “Wow. That sucked.” Oh well. Either way, the trick brings great satisfaction when I land it!
