Yea I kinda feel like this whole Temp. trade thing might be a bad idea, seems like a good way for someone to get scammed.

The cost of shipping would be almost not worth it. What if something gets lost in the mail? Count me out. What stops someone from temp trading putting your throw in their pocket and sending back a rock.
or getting it all dinged up! The more i think about it, the more i think i would only do it with throws like someone wants to try a protostar, and i want to try a trigger, etc. Not like, chief for skywalker or something, i would be way to nervous that they were gonna ding my throw or me ding theirs. to much risk involved.
But then again, for the throws i would be willing to do it with, the shipping costs would be enough to pay for the half the throw itself. I’m not sure I’m completely sold on the idea.
I would insure my packages and require the other person to do the same. That would make sending each way about 6 bucks. $12 doesn’t seem too bad if you’re deciding on making a >$100 purchase. That said, the whole thing does make me a bit nervous.
And as for them getting dinged up, most of the stuff I’d be willing to let people try are a letting dinged anyways.
There are both advantages and disadvantages to this. Advantage- you get to try a crapload of nice yoyos for awhile and save yourself from overspending on yoyos you thought you might like but don’t. Disadvantages- you could get screwed over so easily and scammed like crazy.
This would go on your feedback correct? I assume it would, but since it’s diff than regular, I’m just wondering. This would be a great way for me to get some more good feedback.
Personally, I would leave trade feedback. You’re still making a transaction and your care for shipping and expeditiousness would be reflected just the same.

The idea has potential, but I think it’s far from a safe deal. I’m not putting my yoyos on the line but you do as you wish.

I don’t think it’s any different than any other bst transaction, except the idea is to give it back after a period. The same amount of caution and trust would be involved.

its not like you dont have a choice to temp trade your precious metals… I wouldnt put my avalanche on here. I think its pretty obvious you would do temp trades with throws you dont care about. ie. Psg by adegle. Dude said he had a fhz… Why would u give someone a 130 dollar mint metal to borrow? Gain some common sense and be posative for once…

This is all true unfortunately there are so many scammers out there I hate to say it but you can always call the police in the area of that person if you get scammed and file a theft report over the phone if its a pricey yoyo I called over a gnarwal
Most everyone that has responded to this idea has given it some thought. They have shared their honest opinions and some of those may take some wind out of your sails but that doesn’t mean that your idea won’t/doesn’t work for some, nor does it make them wrong.
It adds balance to the conversation in order to protect those that are spontaneous and may act without considering all the consequences, good or bad.
When you throw out an idea you really should anticipate contrasting opinions and put downs, even if regarding members on another forum, are not really warranted. In fact, it’s a bit negative, which is the very thing you are accusing others of.
Maybe it’s not what some say, but how they say it. (That’s a hint, Red)
