I made a wood fixie that I’m selling for $50 (shipping included). Here are the specs:
- 56 grams
- Padauk wood
- High walls for stalls/0a play
- 6 response holes
- Epoxied 1/4” walnut axle
It spins very smoothly, and feels solid. You might need to increase the string tension when using a new string until it “latches. After that, you’re golden. You may notice some small marks along the rims from the turning process as well as one side of the axle showing some exposing epoxy (pictured).
It’s a great player and looks pretty cool too.
