@Yodaddyo and I were talking yesterday in a thread about joining the community, making friends, how to meet up with people in the yo-yo community, etc.
Him and I have been working to hop on a zoom call and hang out, and decided we wanted to open it up to everyone in the community!
Next Thursday the 22nd at 7pm EST we will be hosting a zoom call for anyone and everyone to hop on and just talk about yo-yos, contests, tricks, regardless of skill level or time in the community!
We were hoping to eventually make this a regular thing - we’re hoping we have good attendance and can figure out the day of the week, cadence and time of day this should happen moving forward!
If you can please take the poll to let us know if you’re coming - and I’ll drop a zoom invite in the thread in the coming days.
I would love to, but I know for a fact I couldn’t make that, that’s right about when I start winding my son down and getting him into bed for story time. Hopefully I’m wrong tho!
Wish i could but weekdays in slammed with family, dinner, and chauffeur duty for the girls. I could try for a later EST stay like 9pm maybe? Or a weekend?
I think this is a great idea. I took part in a few of Doc Pop zoom calls and they are great. It’s a yoyo club in my home with actual skilled throwers. Hope it works out and if you continue id deff join in the summer when I’m a bit more free.
hmm im not sure if i responded correctly given the two polls but my responses were intended to indicate i could not make 7 but would be more likely to attend the later we get the time slot
I don’t think I can make it on that date, but I’d love for this to be at least a semi-regular thing! Just happen to be a super busy month, but I’d do my best to join if it happens again. Thanks for trying to get this going (though I think YYBC has done something like this on occasion?).
Heck yeah! So, I’m in the same boat as a lot of folks, it seems. The timing isn’t ideal, but I’m at that stage in my kids lives where no time is exactly convenient. Depending on what time we settle on, I may be late getting in, but I will definitely be there. I’ll just have to make sure dinner and everything is taken care of early that night
I’d love to join, but being on West coast time means the later the better for me. I’m still at work at 7pm EST during the week, and more often than not taxiing kids to various activities for a couple hours after that.
