how long does it take to wear it down to a better height? its to responsive right now 
The ones in the dash & the maverick take lots of time to break in. But the main cause of responsiveness in the Yomega dash/maverick, is the bearing (for you at least). I cleaned mine thoroughly and then gave it a drop of yomega lube. It then took a week or less of lots of play time to become unresponsive. Now my Maverick is Unresponsive.
You could, if you wanted, replace the pads with YYJ O-rings. I’ve found one O-ring and one blue response pad works well.
