Can confirm they spark up nicely ![]()
I packed the boxes and tossed them over my shoulder randomly onto the floor. Then I played gentle soccer with them for a while before I went to bed. When I got up, I mixed them by hand. THEN I put the labels on them and shipped them out.
I have literally no idea who is getting what ![]()
Mine is scheduled for delivery on Saturday the 27th. I’m looking forward to it. Months in the making and hopefully just the beginning of your line of throws. ![]()
This is my favorite post in some time. Only thing better would have been video of you tossing them over your shoulder from the side just for the laughs but the mental image is fantastic.
I am curious.
Are the marks stains of asphalt stuck to the titanium or did the asphalt left scratches on the Ti?
I’ve never figured it out and this is the first thread where I feel I can ask that ![]()
A bit of both. Mostly just scratches. Sparking a yoyo scratches it up, but its usually able to be polished up back to near smooth

legitimately confused about how i received tracking yesterday, and the yoyo is already in hand lol
@Lotaxi, I think I know why this one is less responsive than the others ![]()
I hope that message doesn’t get taken as a negative, I just thought it was funny lol. read the note, then looked inside the profile and sure enough one side was missing a pad lol.
Queen Bee fucking shreds though. Very lightly lubed bearing, and response is in my perfect “tug response” preference that leaves a lot of room for 1A tricks that need spin, with reliable response for 0A style tricks. also it loves to shoot moons.
That’s way faster than I thought it would be XD
Hopefully everyone else gets theirs ahead of schedule too!
I don’t see much as negative, don’t worry. I intentionally left one pad out of each unit and just loose in the cup so that you all could see the marking with the serialization underneath before you installed it. I tested each unit by putting the second pad in place with the backing still on it so I could give it a few tosses and see how stable it was. Your unit there and one other were somewhat less responsive than others in that test even with the flat bearing, but since 14/16 were perfectly responsive I figured it might be something else which is why I noted it.
Must have been the lack of proper install, though, because that’s good to hear ![]()
How is it with the center trac bearing? It should be considerably less responsive in theory.
Glad to hear you’re liking it so far!
so far I’m only using a flat bearing, one i had on hand tbh. the flat bearing included is super high quality, but i dont have tools to deshield it and lube it until i get home.
was the CT in the bag with string/pads? if so, I don’t have one. no stress though, cuz i have some back at the house =]. i’ll give it a try and let you know.
Weirdly I’m pretty calm? I’m not really stressed at all on an emotional level and I feel more content and patient than really excited in the moment. I feel like I should be more stressed than I am, but I also recognize that I’m kinda subconsciously stressed in the way that I’m staying up later and eating more? I’ve gained about 20 pounds in the last 6 months or so and I’m currently the heaviest I’ve ever been but I feel fine otherwise ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I’m sure it’ll VERY SUDDENLY hit me like a truck in about 2 weeks.
I’m the middle of 5 kids. My older sister already has 2 and is pregnant with #3 (he’ll be dropping in January), my younger sister already has 1, and then after my nephew is delivered in January both of my brothers have their first kids coming between March and May. At this point with all the family discussion I’m sure I’ll pick things up pretty quick lol
In any case, I’m patient enough with other people that it makes my wife frustratedly angry
I’ll try and work on that. I don’t often record things when I’m in the moment, much to my wife’s dismay, but I can see how it’ll be good to get better at that ![]()
Little of column A, little of column B. The spark is made by a chemical process of rapid oxidation in a particle that’s been torn away from the main bulk of the yoyo. The ground is like sandpaper removing small particles as it drags against the ground. The friction heat generated by the process is enough to literally ignite some of the tiny pieces. The oxidation is an exothermic reaction, so it just glows brighter and brighter until all of the material is consumed.
Titanium is also pretty soft and very ductile, so it likes to get pushed around instead of shearing away. A lot of the scratches are where pebbles and grains of sand generated enough friction to push the metal around. The darker markings are where the asphalt got stuck in the surface and came with it.
Really? Huh… It must have fallen out. Expect an envelope in the mail lmao
Glad to hear that lol
I bought a ton of the nice NSK-made bearings from SpinGear
no need to send one my friend!!i have many at the house.
I thought they were NSK lol, I bought myself some NSK’s of various sizes a few years ago and this looks/feels the same.
Just wait till the baby is born. This whole selling YoYo’s thing is whatever. Kids push your limits at every phase
But in a good way it something

Kinda expecting this.
The week before my wife gave birth with our first I went into the front yard to trim a tree. I took a basic handsaw. The tree was a good 2.5 stories tall and pretty big. It had been causing problems, roots cracking sidewalk, teetering in the wind. I really intended to just trim it. I guess all the impending stress finally got to me and the next thing I knew it was 8 hours later and I had chopped the entire tree down and organized the bits and pieces on the lawn.
