She was an Amazing talent, that could do so many things. When her family formed the band Clannads, in 1970, there was a pretty unanimous understanding that her Legend was evident. 25 albums and millions of albums to her credit, she went beyond becoming the Celtic hero of Ireland. She spent decades helping out up and coming younger people to perpetuate the music of Ireland.

She was always concerned with the welfare of everybody around her.

Success was never about ‘her’. It was about helping everybody she could, find more happiness in life through the power of music that could penetrate your heart.

Overtime… It’s been said that there’s a replacement for everyone. When someone passes away, another steps up and fills their shoes.

That sounds positive enough on the face of it. But when somebody like Moya passes away, I honestly doubt that they possess the same legendary status and selflessness that she displayed over 50 years.

When I posted this response… I never really thought of it as being some kind of a eulogy… But since I’m only two years older than she was when she passed away, this is probably what I would’ve said if I could’ve been a speaker at her funeral.

Awesome talent and Golden Heart.
