Plastic bearing - Lubrication?

I have just moded my Duncan Reflex so it has binded/unresponsive play. But I am not sure if it needs lubrication.

It has a plastic bearing(not sure if its a bearing, but it is plastic) and is placed on the metal axle. I have heard and seen the axle being lubricated in this case. Should I attempt lubricating it? Because I do not think that I should continue running dry ???

That is not a bearing, it’s a transaxle, so no do not lube it.

From my understanding, a tiny dab on petroleum jelly is the way to go on a plastic transaxle.
