It is most definitely one of those that has that feeling on the first throw. You know it’s special. I’m giving the C bearing a good shake and it is also a very good yo-yo. But that D model is just… right.

I am SO EXCITED!!! My Foliage D Ptarmigan is out for delivery. I’ll be getting this PIF on the move soon. Thank you so much @Cmchappell97 for sharing these amazing gems. Both are great but the D bearing is so special.

I have not thrown many “old school” designs so I don’t have much to go on, but what I have experienced makes me want to say that the C bearing plays like one of your favorite old school designs that were dense and just felt great to throw but they made you work for it. Introduce the D bearing and magic happens. First off, the feels are even better, more refined, dare I say… perfected??? There is stability there now that really lets you open up with it. You can be much more confident knowing that you now have the stability to throw, knowing that small mistakes aren’t going to need much if any corrections. It’s not quite on rails the way you can get with larger diameters but it feels solid. It feels very close to me like what I would hope a monometal Dreamland would feel like. If you know then you know that’s some high praise. For real @Cmchappell97 super incredible job on this one. I am so incredibly stoked to have my own. I suppose @NuroVolt7 is up? DM me your info and I’ll get things packed up and ready to go. Likely tomorrow.

My time with these birds ends tomorrow!
This bird has been all over the country, so many have been able to see how amazing it is, but now it’s time for it to come home.
