PIF: Featherspin - The Ptarmigan

Just wanna make sure I get them sent out before travel again.

They have been fun, nice relaxed feel, and the occasional pin prick to make sure you’re paying attention lol.

The splashes look killer too!

All,

After many delays these birds are in their way to @AKYOYOMIKE !!

So sorry for all the lost time, I could list excuses but no one wants to hear them, so off they go!!

I enjoyed them and I apologize for not getting them out sooner

OK! It just went out today.

I added a pack of new Throw-Yo Emollient strings in there, along with some Number 44 stickers.

Ready to move these on. @Slestak75 is next, I believe? I had a blast with both versions! Though I need to echo everyone else, the D bearing was really something special.

Bump! Anyone want to hop on or should we bring this to a close?

Right now they are in shipping limbo. You know… why travel straight down from NY to VA when you can shoot on out to Indianapolis on the way??

Wouldn’t mind trying that D Awebo. Can I hop on?

These arrived yesterday and I’m just getting a good look at them this morning. I love the way it feels in the hand. There is a feel that I’ve been looking for. I was not quite sure what it was and I felt like I had it previously. I think the D Ptarmigan hits it pretty close. It’s that small, dense mono-metal feel. Coupled with the more sizzling sound of the D bearing and the Ptarmigan’s much better design than what I had in the past.. I’m finding the feel very pleasing to throw. I’m more partial to smaller throws as is and this just reaffirms that trend. Now I feel I will be on the hunt for one. I’ve got to do more comparisons but there is definitely a marked difference in the D and C bearings as far as play feel. That’s all I have at present except to say that all of the ano jobs look great.

This is terrible. I am loving the D bearing model and there are none to be had. This makes me sad.
