Bernardo Peixoto is one of the smoothest players out there, and Onda, his signature model with MK1 YoYos, was built to match that reputation. This yoyo is awesome. It was one of my favorite until it met its untimely demise the other day. It will be replaced and I will have multiple backups just in case!!!
they’re honestly pretty close, I’d say the main difference is the extra diameter gives the boosted rainier a bit more power compared to the onda, but that’s not to say that the onda lacks power
if you’ve thrown a normal rainier and a boosted one, the onda almost occupies a weird middle range where i’d call it the cooler and chiller cousin of the two, it likes to move a little bit slower compared to the two but still has an excellent feeling on the string
if you have a slower playstyle and like to have consistent pacing in your tricks vs a more zippy/‘poppy’ directional changing style i think the onda would make you happy
Not only is he obviously an amazing player… But I really love the way he showcases several of the color ways that will be available on the drop and he does a few tricks with each one of them.
I only watched the video once I think he did four of the six color ways. It’s really neat to see how they look spinning as opposed to how they look still.
I’ve been told that all those tricks he does actually come with the yo-yo. The only drawback is to connect with the yo-yo memory… You have to have a. Blue Tooth…
Certainly seems like a great price point also. A solid playing yo-yo in several excellent color ways, with side effects and made from 7075… For 80 bucks.
These moved really fast at the local retailer i bought from. 2 colorways sold out within seconds. 5 out of the 6 colorways sold out within 5 mins.
if you want one, I’d say just buy first, regret later.
