Hey everyone we are a small yoyo brand called Newtypeyoyo founded last year (2025) based in East Malaysia, but the heart of the brand goes back much further.
From Collector to Creator
My journey began in 2007 when I first fell in love with buying & collecting plastic yoyos from brands like Bandai and Auldey simply for the joy of play. In 2013 I was introduced to a fullmetal yoyos after I watched the SUMMIT documentary by onedrop and that moment changed everything.
What started as a hobby slowly turned into an obsession, studying play performance, identifying flaws, and imagining how things could be better. Over time my focus shifted toward designing my own yoyos from a piece of paper to CAD software, refining every detail from materials to specifications and always chasing improvement.
Over the years I spent my spare time outside my 9–5 work obsessing over every detail, and eventually creating hundreds of CAD drawings to capture my signature design. Newtypeyoyo is the result of years spent practicing, learning, and dreaming.
