Oasis with Markmont Cumulous Foam string is a winning combo y’all.

If you’re not already privy to the Cumulus Foam, check out this review from years ago:

Ordered the Black - love the look - but didn’t account for the almost rubbery feel of it. Most of my yo-yos are blasted. How’s the raw? Is it a more blasted feel? I may end up throwing a CW on it and slinging it that way.

Don’t get me wrong - it’s still fun to throw - was just surprised by the feel of the finish.

Glossy throws always feel weird to me but that’s a preference thing you could polish the yoyo around the areas you grasp and grind if you don’t mind scuffing the surface and don’t care about resale value.

The 1st run raw does not have a blasted-like finish. I can’t compare it to black.

A further thought: it’s similar to most non-blasted stainless and Ti (I have tried).

Some seem to have coarser machining which is more grind friendly, but not generally great.

I will say this, I tend to always pursue yoyos with a grind finish. I just love grinding.

But the Oasis is the exception to the rule for me personally. While it isn’t geared towards grinding (like most steel throws), it exceeds my expectations in everything else
