A Shill bid is a way to instill interest in an item by showing that ‘somebody’ attaches a value to it. Often others are inspired to also bid because one sucker doesn’t make a Party.
Shill bids have little risk because if the seller or associate ends up with the winning bid, they simply win their own product and just have to pay the Ebay fees.
I have been an Ebayer since there was Ebay. I’ve learned a few things, you could say.
