New from C3yoyodesign – The RADIUS!

After more than half a year of designing and testing with intense attention to detail and multiple prototypes, C3 believes they have created the greatest design in their history – The Shion Araya Signature RADIUS!

Shion Araya shares his perspective on his new signature model:

“I like yo-yos with a light feeling, which is why I was originally using KROWN. The most important things for me in a yo-yo design are the maneuverability, sliding feeling, return feeling, and powerful spin. While designing the RADIUS I chose to focus particularly on maneuverability and both the sliding and return feelings.

RADIUS is about 2 grams lighter than KROWN, and to achieve the ideal spin power the weight was moved slightly toward the center of the body. RADIUS’ appearance is heavy, but in reality it is a model that moves smoothly with little effort. RADIUS is designed with a round step straight shape. The round part gives it a softened catch feel, while the straight step makes it great for long horizontal combos and improves the ease of doing string rejection tricks.

Finally, with this model I have achieved my ideal throw and return feelings in its unique response system dimensions. The RADIUS works great with C3 Pads, but you can also try various types of string, pads and bearings to customize it to your ideal feeling.

The name RADIUS is inspired by the Latin word, chosen to mean a “ray of light” and “glimmer of hope.” I was able to design my ultimate signature model through collaboration with C3yoyodesign and many friends and fellow yo-yo players. I hope you’ll give it a try!”

It looks great, but I wish it cost less. As a manufacturer, I know they have a perfectly good reason for the price, but oh well, maybe one day I’ll come into a huge fortune. Looks good, for real though.

I’m finding it very hard to hold off on this release. I’m in love with the shape, plus the specs are near perfect.
