Great video! My dad and my grandparents lived in Utah. It’s a beautiful state!

The Lossless

It’s like a full size yoyo, but shrunken down. High performance in a small D-bearing package. 7075 alloy for toughness, with stainless steel rings for power. Plays unresponsive.

It’s coming in 6 colorways, most of them pretty colorful.

The profile shape is borrowed partially from the full sized HD, but with a larger drop down into the profile, and broader steel (and overall) rims.

Compared to the HD:

  • Mass: 64.0g → 60.2g (94%)
  • Diameter: 55.6mm → 48.9mm (88%)
  • Width: 47.27 → 44.9mm (95%)
  • Bearing: C (12.7mm) → D (11mm) (87%)
  • Pads: 19mm → 18mm (95%)

I find that smaller yoyos work better with smaller bearings - the string has to wrap around more for the yoyo to climb up, which slows it down a bit on binds. This counteracts one of the issues I’ve had with small yoyos in the past, where the yoyo zips up the string too swiftly.

The Mk1 Lossless will retail for $100.
