Looking for advice on a plastic yo-yo to bang around

Shooting Star doesn’t have enough power for me. That’s why I’m selling it, lol. Have the responsive kit too (Shameless pluh)

I appreciate all your fine folks help. I’m going to be ordering something today after yesterday. I’m an idiot. I had the forma outside and let’s just say I hit the ground. I left the Ting in it. It’s still plays perfectly fine. Smooth. No issues but I think from now on I’m not taking any metal outside

I think the metals are going to stay inside and plastic anywhere

You got it all wrong, now you have a metal beater! Dings mean you are free!! Dings are love

I feel you tho, it does suck to ding a YoYo you like

The yoyo has been set free! It no longer matters if you ding it or not since you got your first one on it.

I will say I don’t ding yoyos through normal play often, it is a very rare thing for me

However. Where I do get dings is because I knock a yoyo over onto the floor. Happens way too often. Happened to my Death Adder V2, my grey baryon has fell twice off a great height, has a scuff in it. My side Baryon I use has some deeper scrape marks from a very stupid half spec I tried doing before I realized the bearing seat was too low and it wouldn’t be able to be half-specced. My Abyss has quite a few white scratch marks.

These are made to be loved and used!! Each mark is a love mark.. in this community we celebrate them!

What we like to jokingly say is that it increases the value of the yoyo to you, but not to anyone else haha. They’re all personal and tell a story!!

Look at this recog that @Herelieslewi has. It has a LOT of sentimental value to them, as it should!!

looks like it’s working as intended. really you can throw anywhere, including outside, just dont stand over concrete. that concrete will chew plastic up just the same as al. and if you know you won’t be able to avoid concrete just bring a durable beater. my 2 beaters i bring anywhere no matter what is forma and od 54gen2. they have damage and it’s glorious and freeing to not worry about it

I would suggest a YYF Velocity and think about how long your string length is. If your string is too long you are going to hit the deck when you miss mounts. The Velocity is great in that you can quickly go from responsive to unresponsive with a few clicks. These can also take a beating, The Whip is another option for playing outside. Also these are not collectable yoyos, they are just toys so you can have fun and just play. Learn Sidewinders, they look like DNA and are more of a fundamental trick.
