LF Fluke Multimeter to fix my dads. Ti and Mono Metals for trade

Long shot, I know. Unrelated to my own multimeter search, I had the sudden urge to go grab my dad’s meters out of the shed because I was worried about the batteries blowing. Luckily, the batteries were fine. Unluckily, it seems the screen exploded.

So, I’d like to find someone with an old (but still in good shape) Fluke 179. Doesn’t need to work, but it needs to have a good shell and screen so I can transplant the insides and surprise my dad with a fully restored 179. I also would trade handsomely for an 87v or 87v max if you wanna check out my titanium listing. I’m sure my dad would be elated with a serious upgrade. I’m gonna surprise him.

If you have an 87v max you just didn’t like or never used, I’ll trade you ti and maybe a couple of mono metals. If you have a 179 laying around with a solid shell (or just works) I’ll trade you fair for that too. I know there’s a bunch of field techs and engineers on here, someone has to have a meter around for my dad.

All I’ve got is the ole 77. Good luck.

An OG 77?? Those are so cool looking! Those square body flukes were so neat. I’ve only seen one myself. Most of the meters I’ve seen are the later mark models.

Just checked it’s a 78 automotive.
