I’ve been having a problem where early on in my print the nozzle of the thingy (such intellect I know) seems to scrape the base of the print off the bed. What should I do?
Sounds like a bed adhesion issue, but solving it will require some details, like the printer model, build plate surface, print settings, etc.
I’ll check. What print settings should I be looking at?
The most common causes of adhesion failure from what I’ve seen are improper bed leveling, a dirty build plate, and bed temp too low for the ambient temperature/airflow situation. Printing the first layer too fast can also be problematic.
Ok, thanks a ton. It’s just been real frustrating to waste a bunch of material and time.
Yep. Clean your bed thoroughly. If it’s self leveling check your z offset, if not level it thoroughly with parchment paper. Check your temperature to make sure you aren’t printing too hot and extruding too much material.
Does the first layer look flat and even or does each pass through kind of push up material around it making it look like a filled field? Do the corners of the print lift up? As many details as possible will help diagnose.
Those are my kind of wedding favors!
That’s so awesome
After doing QC, assembly, and putting strings on 60 printed yoyos, I’ve got a whole new level of respect for the small boutique yoyo makers out there. Putting a string on a throw seems like a quick and easy task, but doing it 60 times back to back is a different story.
Bought some cheap muslin drawstring bags to put them in, and currently 3D printing some stamps to stamp the bags with the wedding date and some appropriate decorations. Then all that will be left is the custom POG caps, and a card or paper with some yoyo basics.
Looks awesome!
Awesome
After breaking my Dunk LX, i figured why not try to use the guts and make myself a new yoyo.
Profile is pretty close to the LX, eyeballed a good amount of it. Ive gotta clean up the recess for the weight rings, but im pretty happy with it
i haven’t been on here for a while, seeing everyone here having a lot of progress in 3d printing yoyos is making my hands itch to design my 2025 version
This is my newest counterweight. It’s kind of hard to describe so check out the vid.
