Hey everyone, the Indiana State Yoyo Contest is in 3 short weeks and it’s shaping up to be much better than many of us dared to hope for.
I really want to thank a few specific people:
Thank you André Boulay for being so willing to help explain things and for facilitating the website and coordination efforts. You’ve been one of the great mentors in my life and you have my eternal gratitude.
Thank you Steve Brown for laying out the blueprint of how to run a contest. Your wisdom and knowledge when it comes to running contest has been absolutely critical and I appreciate how you always provide proper perspective and you always remind me of the realities and practical aspects of how things work. I was able to avoid a lot of issues because of you.
Thank you Alex Morton for being not only being my biggest supporter in this contest process by far, but thank you for being the truly great friend you are. There were definitely times that life got so hard that I wanted to give up, but you knew exactly what to say to get me back on track and I honestly don’t think we’d be here if not for you.
Thank you Kyle Weems for being a giant brain I can poke and prod! But seriously, thank you for always believing in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. Your generosity throughout the years has helped me understand what it means to design and make a yoyo. And to be able to watch you work has been one of the greatest honors in my yoyoing career. I can’t wait to show off your prototype and get feedback on it.
Thank you Rob Armin for being my friend through all these years. You were my first friend in the yoyo community and the time and effort you’ve given helping me to learn to draw is something I’m always going to be thankful for. I never would have decided to master these programs had it not been for your inspiration.
