I need help to build a 2.4 kilograms yoyo

To make the yo-yo go up, it is impossible to use your fingers.
Rather, you should give force with your whole arm.
And besides, the yo-yo is attached to the arm rather than the finger.

It will definitely make a viral You Tube video! Stay safe, bro.

Something like the Sukeban FreeHand Zero could be deadly

@Mei_lito If youā€™ve never designed a yoyo before, there are some good basics covered in this thread. It wonā€™t specifically apply to tungsten (which will undoubtedly be a different beast to make a full monometal out of), but it might help. Iā€™m interested to see what you come up with. Itā€™s bound to be unique!

More like FreeHand Sub-zero. Indisputable evidence the yoyo was invented as a weapon.

I wonder what the Minimum wall thickness on a Tungsten yoyo would be. I kind of want to design one now.

All I know is that Iā€™ve rolled a set of tungsten dice before, and youā€™d better be damn well sure to use a dice tray or your table is getting messed up.

With the way I roll dice my floor would be cracked.

I will tell you exactly what you will get.

A 5 pound clump of Expensive metal.

Nothing more.

It will be the French version of the American Pet Rock.

Good luckšŸ¤“

Just be nice, itā€™s not hard. Poke fun if you like, or give valid criticism, but this just seems mean.

The original post could actually read as a troll. Itā€™s like saying you want to make a football out of concrete. Yeah, you could do it, but itā€™s an incredibly absurd thing to do. If the absurdity is not lost on OP, weā€™re all good. If theyā€™re totally serious and think the final product is going to be really coolā€¦their expectations need to be tempered.

I was replying to the comment suggesting OP tie the heavy object around his neck and jump. I donā€™t feel thatā€™s tempering expectations.

Itā€™s equally as ridiculous as making a five pound yoyo. No one should take this suggestion seriously, especially the person inquiring about making five pound yoyos. This thread is absurd and Iā€™m here for it.

Cry me a river please.:joy:

What I said was not in any way mean spirited. How you take what I say and how you interpret what I say can be diametrically opposite from what my intentions were before I posted what I said.

This is the way I look at itā€¦ If somebody wants to come on the forum for the first time and we welcome them, none of us expect them to be any smarter or dumber than the rest of us. We welcome them. We talk about skilled toys and categories for a whole lot of other things and everybody more often than not pretty much gets along Well enough and the board keeps moving down the road.

So here we are in this thread. Letā€™s welcome this new forum member. This is the first time They have posted

ā€¦.. The OP says, I have never seen a yo-yo made out of tungsten. I would like to make one to see how it works?

I need help with my project. I want to make a 2.4 kg yo-yo, 65 mm in diameter and 49 mm wide out of pure tungsten.

ā€¦. Well, I will tell you, you are no longer talking about yo-yos. You are no longer within the realm of dealing with anything that would have any functionality as a yo-yo. There is absolutely nothing yo-yo related that could be done with 5 pounds of tungsten shaped like a yo-yo. So how somebody could even suggest they would like to make one to see how it works, is in itself a pure example of complete and ridiculous lunacy.

By making a suggestion, you switch from speaking about a yo-yo to speaking about yo-yo related art. That being said I have no problem with a very nice 2.4 kg tungsten yo-yo paper weight. I love art whether itā€™s related to yo-yos or not.

And the preposterous nature of the suggestion was the stimulus for my ridiculous put the string around your neck comment.

So if you want to suggest that my comment was as ridiculous as the original subject of this thread, I will accept that 104%.

Anybody and everybody that visit this forum doesnā€™t have to know me. They donā€™t need to know me. They can go out of their way to deliberately not try to find out anything about me. They donā€™t need to like me. They donā€™t need to appreciate anything Iā€™ve ever done Yo-yo related Or in my entire lifetime. This isnā€™t a popularity contest. I donā€™t consider myself any more popular than anybody else thatā€™s posted 1000 times on this forum or maybe only posted 10 times. We all take turns acting smart. We all take Turns being smart and we all Take a turn now and then acting silly.. Such as life.

But for any of you newer folks, that only know me by my screen name, I will tell you something. I Starting around 1997 I started customizing yo-yos.
Iā€™ve done a lot of yo-yo related stuff in the last going on three decades now. At least a few people on the planet earth are aware of some of the things that Iā€™ve done. I am certainly not the best at what I do. And I never expect to be. But I know some stuff when it comes to yo-yoā€™s. And I know a lot about what others have done and what others have tried. And I know a lot of what others want to do and what others want to try.

But that being said, thereā€™s one thing that is very clear in my mind. When somebody says they want to make a 2.4 kg yo-yo out of tungsten just to see how it will work?

That statement has absolutely nothing to do with logic common sense, a reasonable mind an adventurous mind a forward, thinking mind or reality based premise.

I will cut my standard oratory a little short because Iā€™m working on my next project. Iā€™m going to make a box of Kleenex out of a solid 4 kg block of tungsten. I donā€™t think anybodyā€™s done it before? And I just want to see how it will work? I can use your guys help if you got any ideas?

I gotta go now. I gotta go put away my trampoline.

Yall saw the massive myy throw that they made a while back right? Just like that this would in the end be an art piece but also fun to mess with for a few minutes

Why make a tungsten yoyo?
Why go to the moon? Itā€™s a dangerous and expensive journey and thereā€™s literally nothing there. Because we possibly can and are compelled to test those possibilities.
Spirit of Apollo baby!

And right when I thought this thread could not evolve into an even higher level of lunacy.

Why do we go to the moon? Itā€™s dangerous and expensive.

Well, first of all some people love a life of danger. That doesnā€™t justify living dangerously. That just means it Gives those people something to do

Itā€™s expensive? Of course it is. But the taxpayers Pay the entire bill for whatever craziness the government wants to do in the name of adventure. So that certainly canā€™t be used as any justification to rationalize the utility of another worthless mission.

You say why go to the moon thereā€™s nothing up there anyway? I am not disagreeing with you. But also, I canā€™t see how you can draw a groundless conclusion based on no concrete evidence to support your claim.

And I certainly hope that video you posted of some geniuses that made that big almost Functionless and potentially dangerous gold colored paper weight to validate another exercise in creating chunks of junk.

Since it appears a small number of responses in this thread support the OP in his adventure to nowhereā€¦ Why donā€™t you guys start a GoFundMe to help raise money for his worthy project? Itā€™s only gonna cost several hundred pounds and means so much to someone somewhere Whoā€™s identity at this time is unknown.

You see hereā€™s the bottom line on this situation. Itā€™s actually very simple. If a person hasnā€™t seen a yo-yo made completely from Tungsten, Then why not design and make a yo-yo from tungsten Using specific specifications that would actually allow it to potentially be a pretty decent player?

I mean, itā€™s pretty logical right? I havenā€™t seen a yo-yo made from tungsten. Iā€™d like to make a yo-yo from tungsten just to see. 54mm by 44mm and 70 grams.

He makes the yo-yo. We all pass around give it a toss. We all agree that it is way more fun and functional than a 5 pound chunk of hunk
And then we all build a rocket ship and go to the moon.

Better planā€¦..
