Hand writers! What’s in your pencil/pen case?

I almost never make non yo-yo posts like this, but I’m curious to see if anyone else here is into writing implements like I am.

Much like my yo-yos with specific bearings/handmade strings/response pads, my writing tool load out is customized.

I figured I’d share my EDC (every day carry) pocket case I’ve been using for the last few years at university.

I don’t normally use a pencil case because everything I use is constantly going back and forth from my desk to my backpack, but this is what I normally use. I don’t have much else, I just found some stuff I liked and stopped.

I also literally just cleaned my AL-Star.

I primarily use a Fisher Space pen.

But when I write reports, I only use a white crayola crayon and write on white paper.

It forces people to concentrate when they read my reports.

Don’t have pics right now, and don’t have a travel case for the same reason as @SpintimeError.

For pencils, I use Uni Kuru Toga, which I’ll swear by. I have a few different fountain pens I switch between, but mainly use a LAMY AL-star with a medium nib, and a Hong Dian with a fine nib. Nothing super fancy. For ink, I love Dark Matter from Noodler’s.

Great thread! I had to get in on this one. I love hand writing. Unfortunately, my hands aren’t what they used to be…

These pens all have stories. They are my goto and reside somewhere on my desk all of the time. I have to say, the black US Government ballpoint is my favorite. They are made by the disabled and mostly sold through government supply stores. I bought two boxes of twelve before I retired in December 2019. These are the ones with a metal tip and all metal refills and write SO smooth. (Maybe I will add the others stories in separate posts?)

My work bag set. A kuru toga and a Dr. Grip in blue. I intentionally keep my pens and pencils cheap enough that I won’t be upset if they walk away, because my kids walk away with them all of the time.

So I just ordered my first bolt action pen. Nothing crazy, just a cheap brass one off Amazon: Amazon.com : YUEZUDPO Bolt Action Pen, Solid Brass edc Pen Six-edge Pocket Metal Tactical Pen with Refills and Clip Signature Pen for Business, Christmas, Birthday (Black) : Office Products

I’m interested to see what the fuss is all about.
