And it drives SOOOO much nicer. Had a stretch where it just didn’t pay to do it. Too sloppy (snow and rain),Too cold (-20 F), too sloppy (more snow and rain), just lazy…

I feel this. Theres something about the crusty salty brine that covers everything in the winter that’s kind of depressing. I usually wait till spring to do a good cleaning cause VA the roads are just salty a winter after the first big snow until a good spring rain washes it away

I try and get mine washed at least once a week, we use a lot of salt which causes corrosion and removing all of that grit from the paint is good too. As long as the carwash has a drying step it’s fine even below freezing.

I drive a 2014 Chevy captiva. I’m at the point I’m just waiting for the engine or transmission to decide which one wants to give up first at this point as ay over 250k miles the thing was not built to last lol

Literally had to wait an hour tonight at the shell for a touchless wash… worth it for the undercarriage spray? It’s the first day in a while with above freezing temps here.

It’s finally warming up enough where I’ll probably take my Outback in for a wash this weekend. Poor thing desperately needs it.

I finally gave in and had mine done Saturday while it was in the 40s. It’s been raining and keeping the roads wet ever since, you can’t tell I even went through the car wash. All the salt is right back on it

We had rain yesterday and mixed snow/rain today, but mine is still holding up fairly well.

Ugh. I need to give my car a once over. It’s finally warm enough to turn on the taps but it’s also 40-50mph winds with 70mph gusts so not great washing weather.
We actually had some good rain today that at least helped get some of the salt off.
Thinking Saturday will be wash day.
