As info, I checked, currently donors get 0 compensation for donating a kidney, as it is prohibited in the US to get paid for it…legally speaking.
On the other side, some guy was arrested recently for selling them for around $160,000. I imagine with the nature of that industry, you might get 5% of that if you’re lucky, so around $8-10k ish, plus your medical expenses covered, such as the whiskey and bathtub full of ice. (All in jest obviously, not recommended)
I mean, if I think about it practically, I have FOUR kids. That’s at least 4 kidneys I can sell on the black market. Eyes are worth more. Did you know that?
