I get that I had to bring my wife to the first meet up I went to in person to help with my nerves. Now I’m setting up meeting locations and helping with yybc. I really enjoy adding the social experience to the hobby and have gain a bunch from just going to meet folks in person. It does take a bit of a mental toll as i get worn out from a large amount of in person interaction but i think i find enough value in it to never stop attending meet ups.
