something I whipped up in about 20 minutes tonight. For any of you that have seen It Might Get Loud, at the beginning Jack White is making a diddley bow on his porch

I decided to try building one, and while its not as good as his, it works pretty well.

What I started with: 3 Nails, a piece of wood, an 8 oz glass coke bottle, a hammer, and some guitar string:

Now all you need is a pickup.

Essentially, what a guitar pickup is a magnet wrapped with insulated copper wire. I am pretty sure you can look online for a way to build one. Get a cheapo amp and enjoy your electric diddly bow!
