Featherspin Mini *Contest* - Closed

@Verus you didn’t do anything! It was totally me being unclear, and linguistically imprecise.

Worry not tho! I will be running MANY manyyyy more contest, raffles, charity events etc!
This one was just a spur of the moment one since the PIF ended.

All the love,

Still it stays neck and neck.:rofl:

I knew personally from the instructions it was who ever got the most votes on a picture wins. I did not care about the yoyo I just wanted to share a picture.

I think too keep it fair because a lot of people did see the little kid in the picture and kind of mainly all voted that picture to keep it fair it should be random.

I voted for the kid myself personally because it was a kid and I did not give anyone else a chance even tho some pictures I thought were better so I also played the role in making it unfair

I don’t think it should be randomly decided, but I also don’t think it should be decided by likes, because it disadvantages later entries.

Just my opinion, ultimately it doesn’t really matter, lol.

Thanks for putting this on! It was fun to try and get some half decent photos of some jumpy little guys in 100-degree weather, haha.

I am so close. Best of luck to the other contestant.

@The_Throws_Of_Yo

PIF continuation in Australia sounds great to me. We don’t get that luxury very often.

Put me on the list if it makes it down under.

Hey can we talk about the amount of bot accounts voting for pic 1? “Joined 3 hours ago” is pretty wild

Yea….i just noticed that…
Imma go ahead and call it at the 60/40% minus the 3 bot account votes….super weird and certainly not welcome…

I’ll make the next one more fun and fair..

Let’s send this thang on down under to the Aus crew!

Yippee! A great big genuine thank you to all this marvellous community! I’ve been very…VERY interested throwing the Ptarmigan since @Slestak75 put me onto it with raving reviews when I opened a discussion asking for recommendations on d bearing throws. And that man can sing a yoyos praise as if backed by a Harlem choir! So much so I had one in a basket and followed checkout through to check the ludicrous postage cost and balked! Sorry @Cmchappell97 this is gonna hurt a little more than a domestic winner! Is the generously offer ptarmigan the D bearing model (please please please) or C? (Can give 2 pleases for that one)! I’m stoked! Ma boy Reilly is stoked! My wife is also pretty stoked that I can scratch the itch without dropping a chunk of change! And @Yoyotradie is stoked. Yeah man, you’re first on the list of this birds new flight. (There’s also a chance a dreamland will come down under too, should check that out!) Thanks again y’all, a real pleasure to be here!

I’m quite certain that this was the C bearing model. Although not the D model, that in no way detracts from how great it is. Honestly if one takes it for what it is without comparison, it’s a great throw. It is a real pleasure to throw. It accelerates faster than the D, on the throw it travels much more quickly to the bottom. It changes direction quickly and requires a bit more accuracy… that’s all. You’ll love it.

Well. The good, nay great, news is, our friend @Cmchappell97 has heard my plea and generously offered the last D bearing ptarmagin to me at a vastly reduced price. Both these beauties are now in transit down under! Wouldn’t be here without ya man. Another heartfelt thankyou to you Steve, and again to all in this fabulous community!

I’ve really been enjoying these lovely yoyos! I’m pleased I lashed out for the D bearing as well, I’ve bonded with it rather strongly, and was not expecting the beautiful pearl colour it transforms into when spinning (my camera won’t do it justice, so I won’t try) Unfortunately, my vocabulary for describing yoyos is about on par with my vocabulary for describing beer, and falls into 3 main categories.

  1. Ooh, beer!
  2. Mmm, beer!
  3. That’s F$@#ing delicious beer!

Well, these are F$@#ing delicious yoyos!

Will call out for interey in the intended Aussie leg of the PIF once a little more acquainted.

Thanks @Cmchappell97 you da man, man! (Probably :grimacing:)
