One of the pads in my dark magic 2 just popped out. What’s the best thing for me to do?
Put it back in.

It should! I believe there is a recess it fits in. If it fit before, it should fit now!

Check your pad.
Is there paper on the bottom of the pad? This happens from time to time, someone forgot to take the backing off. Is there paper on the top of the pad or is it sticky? Then someone put the pad in upside down. Again, it happens.
Did you add lube to the bearing? Maybe some got into the pad. When this happens it usually means you need to replace the pad.
Otherwise, silicone it or maybe use some contact cement to stick it down.
