Different emojis

has anyone noticed that the emojis look a little different/funny, or is it just me?

Yep, can’t put my thumb on what actually looks different, but I noticed something a bit off

Yep, I noticed as well, and they also seem to be a bit inconsistent with selecting them

Noooooooo we’re turning into android :loudly_crying_face::loudly_crying_face:

Yeah, also noticed it caused a little bug with not displaying all the users who reacted (inconsistently):

Edit: Now when I try to leave a :joy: reaction, it gets turned into a heart.

I also noticed the font has changed for the header a few times over the last few weeks but I tried to ignore it.

this is happening to me as well. I’m on Android using Chrome

New colorway.

Hopefully Mr. Atwod or someone at Discourse will get the small bugs worked out shortly.

Same. Kind of. I can usually leave any reaction but it’s permanent. If I accidentally leave a  and meant to leave something else it’s tattooed on.

I literally just watched @mikeydoe test that on you :face_with_tears_of_joy: I had that issue happen a few weeks back, but not more recently.

I typically long press to bring up that window, even then it’s not accepting my skulls and laughs :loudly_crying_face:

Apparently Apple has put rules in place about using their emoji in other applications, etc. So the forum software had to replace them - the first default replacement they put in place I didn’t love - I just swapped that out - the new one isn’t perfect but a little better…

Are people still having problems getting ‘reactions’ to not be a heart with long press on mobile?

Yes having issues. I tested it and it works like 50% of the time.
