I havent had the chance to hold one in person, but iv read some reviews about it saying that the gap where the o-rings go is a bit narrow.
MAybe im just asking stupid questions -_-
The new YYJ’s sili grove is kind of shallow. I know it’s compatible w/ the YYF thin pads that the 888 use. You can put RTV in it but it might not hold that well, or you can mod it to recess the grove a little deeper to hold the RTV better.
The grooves on the Phenomizm, HM Pro, etc. look rather shallow to me too. I’ve been waiting to hear from someone who has actually siliconed a stock one as to whether or not the recesses are deep enough. So - has anyone siliconed one yet?
I had an Atmosphere at one point and sili’d that, and the grooves are shallow on that too. It held for the time I had it but that wasn’t very long. I could see where excessive play would rip through the sili in no time.
