Big yo-yo, big fun!

I know the stellar and the big yo have already been mentioned, but laughs in offstring

Crazy durable and crazy big, the flight is an old-fashioned 4a that comes with an almost unresponsive gap. Unfortunately, it’s really easy to over-tighten

Alert! Alert!

I love the OG Big Bang. As a reminder, here were the specs on that:

The Big Bang has been refreshed for 2024.

The Bang is now BIGGER!

How’s this compare to the orange?

 Not quite as big as the Orange (78mm diameter, 68mm wide, 80g)

I just picked up the Orange (and the notice to pick up a failed delivery on the 2024 Big Bang) off the porch. The Orange is really something else. Rings like crazy for an aluminum!

You don’t feel the weight of it at all until you’re trying to overcome the inertial of the throw. It’s like you’re underwater.

Strangely, I seem to be having an easier time than usual doing Hidemasa hooks with it? I think the sheer size of the thing forces me to commit to putting as big of a slack loop as I possibly can into the string. It’s already making me think about how I throw a “normal” yoyo.

I’ll post pictures of it alongside the comparatively pocketable Big Bang '24 in the mail thread tomorrow.

The orange just barely fits in my pocket so I guess it’s technically a pocket throw right?

How do you like the yo-yo?

I made the mail day post, but here’s a decent lineup of big ol’ 1A throws.

Duncan Butterfly (for scale), YoYoJam Big Ben, CLYW Yeti 2, YoYoEmpire Big Bang, YoYoEmpire Big Bang '24, and updn orange.
