I Just wanted to post an update. I was finally able to sell the throw at a big loss. Burchard hasn’t reach out to me about this since April so I think he’s just written it off.
Did you follow up with him?
I tried to work with him back in April but I haven’t reach out since.
Dude, I contacted you, don’t lie. I wrote that I was ready to buy it and also offered a couple of yo-yos as a gift.
Do I understand correctly that in your last message you said you’d take it as your own mistake and didn’t need anything? After that, he even offered to send you a few yoyos as compensation, but you ignored it, and now, 4 months later, you’re publicly complaining about how “bad” he is?
I’ve known Burchard for several years, and our mutual transactions add up to thousands of dollars. He runs his own yoyo brand and store with dozens of happy customers. I personally know many situations where he took losses just to make the customer happy. Not to mention, he funded several local contests out of his own pocket.
If you say “I’ll take it as my loss and deal with the sale on my own”, then be a man and stand by your words, don’t come back months later trying to put him down in public.
I didn’t want any yo-yos. I just wanted a refund for my yoyo. He sent the wrong yoyo and I waited more than a month for a refund. He sent me several messages that he didn’t have the money at the time so I gave him time. After waiting so long he asked me to post it for sale. He could have given me this options weeks before but he didn’t. That was the final straw for me and I didn’t want to deal with him anymore.
This post was a warning to people on the forums that if Burchard sends you the wrong yoyo he won’t refund you.
Offering to send yo-yos isn’t the same as offering a refund.
I explained the situation to you. That I bought it as one version of the Mustang and when I came to you later I found out that it was a different version. I never deceived anyone. I did not refuse to return your money. I simply offered to put it up for sale in case it suddenly sold faster than I could find the money.
yo-yo I offered you for your wait and for the fact that I did not find out that this is a yo-yo of another version. I have never refused a refund
the yo-yo i offered was compensation for your wait
We can debate here for a long time. But I admitted my mistake: when I bought this “Mustang” from another person, I did not double-check it. Is it a regular mustang or an ES mustang?and I didn’t check because the person convinced me of it and I provided you with all the correspondence
Apologies. Kinda felt like since I posted, I should at least familiarize myself with the situation.
You know, I’ve also completed a number of purchases with Burchard, one I can remember for sure, but I’ve made a lot of purchase via yye so I bet it’s a larger number. Never has he steered me wrong, or failed to deliver. Honestly, like a lot of other throwers sentiments, this just seems like an honest mistake. While I do find it a difficult claim that he didn’t “know the difference”, I’ve also purchased throws without holding them first. In fact, aren’t all purchase through yye that way?
I recall last year I had made some sales, and then failed to deliver them in a timely fashion. My father passed February of last year and it was really difficult for me. I would eventually get back to it and get all the throws out to people, but that wasn’t until almost 6 weeks after the primary sale!!! Of course the tribe grew restless. Also, just a few weeks prior I had raked some cat over the coals about delivering on his sales, don’t be a slimeball blah blah blah.
So now, when legit concerns show up, or problems arise, I’m much more empathetic. I just think it’s an important thing to remember that while sure, you just wanted to buy a YoYo. The person at the other end might be dealing with something serious. However I will agree with a prior post, “man paid for said mustang, he should receive said mustang.” If not, a full refund should be made. This is OUR community, it’s up to us how “stand-up it is.
