What can I say, I knew Joseph had opened Pandora’s box, and pulled out what we now call the Bee’s Bonnet
And yeah, Andy is a mastermind of design, I grabbed a bi material Bee’s Bonnet from them ASAP, will have an unboxing video as soon as it arrives

I think if you were going to use one with yoyo, there’d be the most potential for just having one (or two) as they currently exist while yoyoing. It feels like it could get very similar to a hybrid between yoyo ciclico and poi.
My first thought when seeing this was that I hoped the tubes were strong enough for you to mount a yoyo with them.
Attaching one to the end of a yoyo seems like you’d kinda just be pushing towards boneless diabolo or awkward 5A, rather than being in an unexplored space.
Regardless these are really neat, I wanna pick up some PVC tubing and make two to mess with. I also think instead of yoyo string, using a much stiffer/firmer rope like what poi use would lend themselves a lot better to juggling type maneuvers with them.

Yeah, cardboard isn’t ideal. But I’ve now tested out brass, aluminium, PVC, HDPE, LDPE and rosewood. Rosewood is my favourite followed by brass, but all work well enough and would be able to do diabolo grinds.
Current string is rayon 4x thicker than I’d make a rayon yoyo string and in the process of making a kumihimo braided cord

I’ve used Delrin and 3d printed tubes. I have brass and stainless tubing on the way.
I’ve gone the opposite for string though lol. I’m using .75 mm thick nano cord paracord for string because I like making the bead super whippy. Like I need to feel like I’m actually dodging a bee when I flip that thing.

I do love the idea it’s essentially the stick ball affect of if you have a rock and a stick you can play except it’s a paper towel roll string and a weight if any sort. You can get super fancy with it but you can also make one out of simple things you find at home

I found your Throw Yo Rope in the modded responsive PIF box and tried it with the Bumblebee. Didn’t know what it was yet, but it looked like it belonged on the Bumblebee… Fun. And terrifying! Seems like it would make a killer spintop string.
