I have a bunch of yoyos that I’m not using. Seeing if someone new to the hobby, or someone just feeling lucky, wants to buy a mystery box. It would be a mix of fixed axle and unresponsive. It would be well worth more than what you pay

I suppose Im willing to show what all comes with it, if the buyer so chooses, but I like the idea of surprising someone with goodies

As was once said many many decades ago… Good news is only good news if the recipient accept it as good news. Otherwise it’s bad news.
When it comes to mystery boxes, some people like mysteries, and some people don’t.
When it comes to a mystery box that cost $275, there’s nothing wrong with that price, but you need to consider something
Even though mysteries are sometimes fun, since that price is not very far away from 300 bucks… And you state that it would be well worth what the buyer pays… Unless you’re looking for somebody that just throws caution to the wind and wants to bounce some greenery on the unknown, you will probably sell your group of yo-yo’s faster, if you basically just tell people what exactly they’re gonna get for 275.
In a way the mystery seeker might suggest that that takes the fun out of the thing. Buy into the unknown be surprised… And hopefully some of the stuff is something that you will like.
But it would be a mystery filled with sadness if somebody paid $275 for several yo-yos and just so happen to not like one of them.
So even though it is just an unsolicited suggestion, if you really want to sell that a lot of yo-yos for 275 bucks it will probably be better to just post up images of the yo-yos and show people how much they’re gonna get for their money and what they’re gonna get for their money
I’m sure I could’ve explained all of that in 50 words or less, lol I just wanted to draw you a picture that you could wrap your head around so to speak.
Regardless, good luck. If you’re not in a hurry, try the mystery angle.
If you want to sell your stuff and it’s a heck of a deal just post up what it is and somebody might jump on it
And here’s another angle. Maybe two guys that are friends in the same yo-yo club or maybe their brothers or cousins or whatever they are? It’s possible a couple people on this forum. Will see the yo-yos you have and team up and make the sale and then divide up the yo-yos depending on which one of them likes what?
Regardless, there are other options I’m sure but being from California I’m from the show me state, lol actually come to think of it. I’m not even sure California is to show me state.?
Well, thank you for that well thought out reply. I understand where you’re coming from. And it’s a fair assessment as everybody likes different stuff. That being said if I spent 300$ and got what I’m giving I would be happy. But like you said it’s subjective
When I first started out I had 300$ and I wanted to try as many different brands as I could to discover what I like and don’t
Also this is probably going to cost me close $50 to ship lol
