in 18 years I have never even thought once and never sold a yoyo, only bought and only exchanged two

The yo-yo swap meet was so much fun! And I am definitely doing it again this year. Being able to see and try a used yo-yo before you make the deal, and not having to mess with shipping is so nice. I saw some insane trades and sales going down at that event.

I did not sell, but rather gave away the majority of my collection for free.
Yoyos became a subtle form of “Gross-Pollution” for me similar to my closet of clothing, so decided I didn’t want to image, post, answer correspondence and ship…too much hassle. The fancy yoyos disappeared relatively easily. No Regrets~

I am trying to let go of some, but the feeling of selling comes and goes. They don’t take up that much space + they are Objet d’art, so they don’t cause that much of an issue. Unlike potentially bikes or cars, Yoyos don’t upset the Mrs 
I had a break and came back, found myself throwing and enjoying old throws and finding the character of them again, finding new ways to throw too. But the points made already about the effort to the reward is a large reason why I don’t sell more.
I will always keep my gift Yos. But my other reason to sell is when I have a few yoyos infront of me, they are all stable, long spinning, pretty close to each other in max performance and design - that’s when I think, "well you can go’ 
Heavy, light, challenging, prescious, small, pretty, oversized, stupid-difficult and of course novelty. Give me a Downbeat, a Dumpster Fire and a Sturm Panzer mini I’ll take a big bag of crazy Yoyos please manufacturers

Don’t sell them if you don’t need to…
But listen to your soul, it usually knows best…
