This was a crazy first stage. Cavendish went down HARD on the sprint finish. He also did the same thing last year though… I’m sure he’ll be back tomorrow (nevermind. He’s dislocated his collarbone…) it sucks but that is a risk of being a sprinter. It was a nice win for the big German of Shimano/Giant.

Gosh, that was depressing. I felt so bad for him. His dream was to finish in le Tour de France not last at least. So sad
I was a bit disappointed Nairo Quintana isn’t racing the Tour this year, but I guess not that many contenders do both the Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France. I’m looking forward to seeing him back in the Tour again.
I was pulling for Andy Schleck, but now it looks like he is out as well.
