Dang that’s way too many steps for me!!
I just throw it and spray the gap with non residue electrical contact cleaner.
Within seconds its dry and spinning smooth. No need to open the throw, deshield, or spray with canned air.
Fast and easy.

Doesn’t nothing come out that way??
I’m not a scientist or anthing, but if gets in with the yoyo put together it will come out with the yoyo put together. Trust me this stuff works wonders.
I only clean it with the throw open when I’ve dropped the bearing tring to free a bad bind. Even then I don’t deshield.and I just spray it down and spin it on a pencil or allen key. Easy, Fast and cheap. 1 can of this stuff is like $8 and will clean 100’s of bearings. Unless you drench it every time which I find un necessary. A quick 1 second spray in the gap is all it needs.
hehe i have the clean bearing feeling now! does anyone else feel this satisfied after cleaning a bearing?

When I take a grease-packed bearing from no spin to 24+ seconds on a flick, that’s one heck of a good feeling! Hard to beat that feeling!
BUMP! curious to see people methods.
