No I was just trying to give a tip that I randomly came across one day. Very useful in these posts when people have conversations about forum navigation tips that take away from the purpose of the topic.
I wouldn’t be opposed to quoting when replying to a post from months ago though.

just picked up a purple w/blue caps Butterfly XT! it’s ok very over-lubed bearing so it responds very fast and hard if you’ve never tried a Duncan throw before this isn’t what you want your first impressions of Duncan to be gonna try to put an unresponsive bearing in and just play around!

Replaced with white pads, definitely better. I wasn’t sure what the break in period would be and didn’t feel like finding out.

The Butterfly is supposed to be responsive out of package. It’s a yo-yo for people to pick up while shopping at Target, if it doesn’t come back up kids might think it’s broken.

People picking it up at a retail store don’t know what unresponsive play or a bind are. They know a yo-yo is supposed to come back. If they give up right away because it won’t come back they’ll probably never buy another yo-yo
