What did you get in the mail, 2026?

I think they are C3yoyo Ghost lX

Got this in earlier today. The tug response on this thing is on point. I was a bit skeptical about if it would work fully unresponsive with a 4mm wide MR85, but after swapping it out and breaking it in, it plays just fine

I put a lemon bearing in one and absolutely smacked the crap out of my knuckles :joy:

I have a design or two that are intended for lemon bearings properly and I’m gonna make sure I recess the pads on those ones to limit the danger.

A special edition of the Acorn Mini with some recessed pads for lemon bearings could be fun too though some day.

C3yoyodesign Ghost IX, they’re kinda massive and significantly better than what you might expect from a plastic yoyo. I chose to use these after feeling like the Wilderness 7075 just didn’t have enough power to get through mistakes and rough execution.

How’s the Turbo Confusion feel? Have you played the original (2018 release) Confusion? Wondering how they compare in play aside from the cork pads.

I love it more than the regular confusion. The regular just feels like a modern day responsive. The turbo captures the late 90s snappy feel, cork makes it feel like a old school style, while the hubs weight keep it feeling better balanced than the original.

Awesome, I got a pair sitting in my cart. I should prob nab now or forever hold my regrets…

Actually…just ordered - this is my plan…not a bumble bee look but the “Tarantula Hawk” as I’m calling it

Turbo confusion is a certified ripper. Those cork pads are magic, has such an outstanding feel and killer stall bite.

Even running hubstacks with full size dice, it feels perfect. One of the throws I click into a “flow state” with the easiest.

I am a 0a scrub, however.

Other highly skilled players agree it is awesome tho

I love the turbo Confusion as well. I actually prefer the Turbo Grind Machine though. Honestly worth owning both as they are both that good.

Try running a size A blank in them sometime if you haven’t, the fixie play with cork response is something else.

Yea, I own the Turbo Grind Machine and it’s awesome! After I got it, I kept saying “I wish YYF now would do these pads in the Confusion”…and then my yoyo prayers were answered

Also, like the No Jive, the ProYo “GT” shape is just a comfy shape to catch…from the Proyo GT/Profly all the way on up to the YYF confusion that all have that shape.
