Sorry I don’t have much history on the mile high brand or Dave, but I plan to get caught up. I found him on IG.
Super cool dude from what I’ve seen so far. I think he does MC for the states and who knows what other contests.
BTW you won’t regret this one if you get it. Plays really nice. Stable and spins long long, D bearing gets it to bind tight even slow spinning.
Fun and different, but familiar feeling as well.

i saw a mini backpack keychain that size recently that i was like oh thatd be a neat yoyo case but i didn’t get it. the one i saw was at World Market in the international candy section

I had a gift card come in, so I ordered a 3 pack of Jumbo Cobras and 4 Cobritas. These are the 2 I was left with after the wife and kids picked through them… My wife didn’t like the idea of me starting on tops after I had slowed down on buying yo yos. But after a night of messing around with the Jumbo Cobra, she’s better than I am after 2 weeks! Her throw is straighter, and she easily scoops it into her hand and stands with it still spinning… Also have a ProYo and a copy of Yonomicon on the way!

Since I am starting to delve into some astro stuff I decided to finally get my hands on some Turning Points, and where better to start than Takeshi Matsuura’s 5A sig the Acanthus S and Takuma Inoue’s sig the Lachesis. I also got the tpu ring for the Lachesis and a Double Weight. Very excited to get some playing time on these

I hope so!!! How wonderful is that colorway??? That blue, so “liquid”, so nuanced… it looks like fountain pen ink… The Wolverine colorway of the BvsM is absolutely beautiful… they tried to redo them later and they’re not even remotely comparable… so much so that it would have been better if they never redid them again, put next to this one they’re ridiculous. Wonderful, I give you so many compliments, don’t ever sell it!!!

How does the Zeal play??

Its a fairly powerful playing yoyo, it plays like its heavier than the Bufo despite being a couple of grams lighter. Compared to my alter, it plays nothing alike, a lot more powerful feeling on the string, not quite as agile. Even though I still wouldn’t call it sluggish by any means. If your a fan of the alter (or other similar yoyos i.e. noir, protagonist, obscura), I wouldn’t immediately recommend it. However if you like heavier yoyos (like TPs) then I absolutely would go for it.

I think it may be worth a try for me then since i sit kinda in between those styles of yoyos. Maybe ill snag one in a better color eventually. Thank you!

I wish YYR would bring back that old style of engraving. It feels so iconic and I love that it puts the player front and center. The player name felt like as much of a focal point as the design of the yoyo itself.
The new style isn’t bad at all, but the amount of aura the old engraving has is off the charts.
