@Captrogers and @TryCatchThrow how are the maples? I almost purchased one many times but I decided to wait until I heard some reviews.
Only threw it a few times it’s neat very little but a small but if vibe as expected with anything wood but it plays great. Kind of feels like a Pom YoYo in play to me but idk I haven’t had it for long enough to think critically
Got a few things in the mail yesterday, but waited to open them until today so I could claim them as birthday presents and avoid the wife’s looks of disappointment
Awesome mailday thanks to @JSERR for the 7075 OG Majesty, Workhorse v2 and Duncan hat
and @rkalajian for these awesome strings and stickers.
Can’t wait to try it all out, but had to try the hat first. Perfect fit @JSERR
As the Golden Girls say “thank you for being a friend”
I like it. It is a vibe, and it does have vibe, so if you want a vibe free, high performance yoyo this one is not for you. I will say the vibe is less than I would have expected and it’s highly playable.
I agree with @Captrogers it kind of feels like a plastic on the string, and the bearing sounds are more similar to a plastic than metals.
I love the colors and feeling and I’m excited to see how it ages.
Just received a No Jive featuring my home town. The others I got a couple weeks ago in an awesome trade and am just now getting around to posting. Two DLC customs, some laser engraved wood POGs, and an Ardeus Stroller.
Are you able to custom order a No-Jive or something? Because that one’s absolutely beautiful
New throw. From 2004. Gonna pop in the dvd it came with when I get a chance.

That no jive is sweet. My Purgatory NJ plays like a dream compared to my regular BC era one.
Possibly? There is an option on the Ton Kuhn site for custom orders, but I’m not sure what models they even have stock of to do custom engravings on.
This is one of many that David Hall helped design and commissioned, and according to the yoyo museum this one was in 2014. I just happen to be lucky in that David loves to vacation where I grew up, and has designed several models for that area (Purgatory, Pine River Light, Pine River Dark, and the Bayfield I just got)
My regular one doesn’t play as well as either this one or my Flying Camel.
I have a Pine River on the way. The Purgatory is the last one I need to track down to have a full collection of the ones inspired by where I grew up.
Where in the world do you find them? I can’t find much on the BST
Most of my Tom Kuhn’s were found on ebay (where there are many seriously overpriced ones listed at any given moment, and occasionally reasonably priced ones). They do pop up occasionally on the BST too, but not frequently.
