Hey everyone!
Want to thank ya’ll for all of the support of the Ptarmigan release! The day-one turn out was incredible!
We still have a few A grades and B grades in the shop, so you haven’t missed out quite yet!
We are plotting the course for the next bird already, hopefully coming at the end of the year.
“The Osprey”
We are also planning the next charity raffle beginning in December with some real heavy hitters.
More info to come!
All the love,
Alright, I thought the Corvus was going to be hard to beat, but the Ptarmigan is soooooo comfortable. Absolutely love the feel and play on this, and a little weightier on the string which I appreciate. Additionally, matador spikes are still perfect, and let’s take a moment to talk about how fantastic these stickers are, haha!
Another big hit by Featherspin, looking forward to seeing what the Osprey is about! Being a Floridian here, I feel like this will be a must-have bird to support, lol.
“Awebo!”
Thank you Collin!!
I’m so glad ya dig it! HOLY CRAP that is a crispy pic!
Is that “b” grade? “Birb” grade, if you will
Just a little update here!
Christmas Charity Raffle: The amazing roster of companies have already started to send it their throws for the event, and I am working on the structure, flyer stuff, donation portals etc etc. for it. If you are apart of a throw or hobby company and would like to learn more or be apart of it shoot me a message!
The Throws: I’ve been working on some of the Osprey’s background stuff and a hush-hush model that we will just drop randomly one day. I have also been working out some of the line up for 26’!
Cinema: The Portland team is working on another wild short film for the Osprey throw, this one is going to be less of a documentary and more of a comedy. The footage as been absolutely amazing so far, but in the mean time If you haven’t seen the Hunt for the Ptarmigan video: you’re missing out!
Osprey’s spec drop:
Width: 44mm
Diameter: 52mm
Weight: 64-65 TBD exact on production run
Gap Width: 4.5mm
Pads: 19mm
Bearing: Size C
Axle: 12mm
Material: 7075 Aluminum
All the Love,
I’ve been loving all the stuff you’ve been pumping out. I’m excited to see the osprey in its glory
Ooh, I love the look of this one!
I recently acquired a D bearing Ptarmigan and it’s honestly one of my new favorite yoyos to throw! It’s my first D bearing and I love the feel of the yoyo as well as it’s size. I love the smaller diameter making it nice to hold while not being too small and hindering tricks. The green colorway(foliage) is also awesome.
Overall I love the way it plays and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyway. Awesome work!
YES! I was oroginally disinterested in d-sized bearings playing with a SPYY Pure (one of the most regarded SPYYs) and honestly it did not do anythign for me. I tried messing with the response but i just dcould not see what everyone else was talking about. I resigned d-bearings to vinyl and stick-shifting transmissions where it was something people gate keep about… Untill i tried the PTAR and damn this thing is too dman fun
