Introducing DeniSS: A striking love letter to the SPYY punchline.

Boasting a fully stainless steel body and an accentuated aluminum ring, DeniSS defines intentional. DenniSS provides unique performance and play feel compared to other models by incorporating standard bimetal practices, but contrasting application. The aluminum ring allows more weight to be utilized in the steel, freeing up about 8g per half to play with what I’m calling subtraction from addition.

This allowed our team to design a much broader and thinner rim than what is normally capable in a monometal SS design. This results in a smooth, relaxed, and ease during play while still being extremely stable.

Coming later this month!! Keep your eyes open :eyes:

I love that there’s different color options on the Al ring, and the YYE variation looks awsome!

Thank you I appreciate that!

@Ed-C yeah the rings add a nice sprinkle of color!

Really cool to see another brand experimenting with SS body and Alu rims, the G2 Slingshot is a fun and very different feeling yoyo. This should be similarly unique!

and if i could make a quick joke, given the similar construction to the slingshot and punchline association, one might call this an Encore to the Slingshot LOL

I don’t remember seeing a yoyo quite like DenniSS before but I appreciate you sharing! I don’t pay much attention to G2 so I had to look up what a slingshot was. It looks like a neat gimmick to throw around, but I’m unsure where you’re seeing similarities to DenniSS outside of the materials.

What about the Encore?

thats literally the similarity im pointing out. the combination of a denser body and lighter rims creates a very unique sensation in play. based on your “subtraction from addition” phrase, i’m guessing the sensation will be similar. neither yoyos appear to be gimmicks, they’re both creative designs.

these are literally the only two yoyos I know of that feature the opposite of traditional bimetal design ethos, and I’m excited to see another one on offer. thats all I’m trying to say lol

the Encore of the Slingshot joke is a play on Guy Wright’s latest signature, the Encore.

Oh I know what you’re getting at, but the aluminum part in the DenniSS is like, 5% of the rim, whereas the aluminum is the entire rim on the slingshot if I’m looking at the correct yoyo? And I used the term gimmick bc the post I found on slingshot said it was an April fools yoyo.

Also never heard of the Encore before today either @Tempura I didn’t know Guy still yoyos but that’s sick!

Definitely worth seeking one out. It’s fun but I wish it was a smaller diameter like the Punchlines.

I was thinking this design reminds me a bit of the PC ring on a Tomo.
