We’re proud to present — CloudWeave.

Developing and launching CloudWeave has been a significant step we’ve been working on a for a long time, ending a years-long process of finding the perfect string blend for our designs. This is our first shot at developing a string product, but we’re extremely happy with it, and we feel its the blend that brings out the best play experience with Atmos designs.

CloudWeave is now available, and will also feature as part of the kit we include with each Atmos design, starting with our July releases.

We’ve had a few inquiries come in as to the differences between Micro and Macro blends.

Micro is closer to “FAT” thickness, and is better for string layers, whips, and technical play. It’s a better everyday, all-purpose string.

Macro is closer to “XL” thickness, and is even softer, more comfortable, and provides great feel, and excels at tight binds and regen-type play. It feels closer to boutique specialty blends that optimises for feel and comfort.

Come through.

Say hello to the Cephas ES — an optimised, simplified iteration of the original Cephas.

“ES” stands for “Essential Series” — marking a minimalist refresh of the original design, while refining its core design features and playfeel.

The Cephas ES features an overhauled schmoove groove design, better handling and manoeuvrability, as well as a bias toward greater rim weight.

SPECS
Diameter 54.3
Width 45.7mm
Weight 65.8g

I got to try the CloudWeave string at yoyo club this week- I can attest- it is awesome! Not sure if it was micro or macro.

You guys like it better than Canopy Rope?

I know this was probably more geared towards the Atmos team, but for those who haven’t gotten to try it yet, figured I would hop in as well.

I recently got some CloudWeave string with my latest order, and I’m pretty impressed with this myself.

It has a great soft feel, but the finger-loop isn’t slippery at all, which is perfect. I found it to have a VERY subtle bounce, which is a fantastic characteristic so the throws don’t “thud” to the end of the string quite as hard, without really affecting the rest of your general play. It feels pretty whippy, making it enjoyable for slack tricks and general play, and it has a soft memory so you’re not adjusting your tension quite as often. Response engagement is great, with just an ever so light slip that helps prevent it from being overly grippy, providing a nice play/response balance.

While I’m usually not particular about string brands, the CloudWeave is admittedly a really nice string to play with, will definitely be in the “within reach” zone. Great all-around general player for certain for me. As stated, I’m also not a string connoisseur by any means, so take this all with a grain of salt, but as such, I’ve also been through a lot of different kinds of string at the same time, haha.

I haven’t had a chance to try the re-done Canopy Rope yet, but I do have some coming, and I’m looking forward to experiencing that as well!

Side note: Excited about the Cephas ES!

@Son-of-Morris does a great job of describing CloudWeave, but I’ll just chime in as well – we were involved in the production of both the new Canopy Rope and CloudWeave blends, and we’re very proud of how both turned out. We use both all the time personally, but CloudWeave has more of the Atmos “taste” dialled in, naturally!
