Your response was basically “I hated the shape and could not wait to get it on BST”. Thanks for that response - it was nothing but vague and un-helpful. What was the purpose of your response? My post had a purpose. It was to promote what I think is a great yo-yo. Your response is vague, patently negative; plus, you are unwilling to back it up except with further vagueness and attacks on me. Real cool. I guess the purpose of your response was to put-down the Laser? Yeah, that makes sense. The Laser, even though not as good as the Draupnir, is far better than 99.999% of other throws out there. Perhaps your negative comments should take that into account. As always, negative input, with no facts or observations to back it up - is just that: negative. ---

Weird. I love the Laser so much. The shape feels sooo nice in the hand and its power is unreal. Definitely one of my tops. Sorry Agredano meant to message you back but got caught up with work this week. As far as Laser v. Blink goes the Laser is definitely amazing and in another league. That said the Blink is also great, but i’d get the Laser first, then again the Blink might be trickier to get in the future, so i don’t know haha. ---

I must say, I like Laser maybe even more than Draupnir. I would choose Draupnir without doubt for contest, but off stage I would alwas reach for Laser. ---

Can anyone who’s thrown a Laser comment on its suitability for 5A? I’m throwing an Agonist at the moment and it’s great but I’d like to try out something a bit heavier for comparison. If the Laser is good for 5A I think I will get that, if not, maybe a Z-on. Thanks! P.S. Anyone like the Draupnir for 5A? I have one but I’ve just been using it for 1A. I’m afraid to ding it up with my dice (or worse, let it go flying into the wall)! ---

Looking to get my first YYR at some point soonish. What would be a good one to start with? Readily available, good representation of the company, etc., etc.? ---

I think the quintessential YYR would have to be the Sleipnir. It’s been their best seller and for the longest time almost every YYR sponsored player without a signature model was using it. That said though, recently YYR have switched gears a bit with bi-metals like the Draupnir and Laser. I think there’s also a new Sleipnir due out soon so it’ll be interesting to see what updates they’ve made to that (bi-metal perhaps?). If you can find a Sleipnir, I think it ought to be a staple in any YYR collection. If not, I’d take the Draupnir which is far easier to find and YYR are slowly introducing new colours. The gold Attuned Draupnir (slightly wider gap than vanilla Draupnir) looks especially sick.
